Two Dimensions
Irregular or Scarce Supply of Water
Many Urban areas of Pakistan receive very little or No Water Supply from the Public Water Supply System. As a result, they are forced to buy substandard water from Tankers at exorbitant costs. The Water Supplied by the Tankers is highly contaminated and unsafe to drink.
Contaminated Water Supply
Due to inadequate maintenance of Filtration Plants, Water supplied through the Public Supply System contains high levels of Microbial contamination. In most cases, water is unsafe to drink and residents are forced to purchase drinking water from commercial sources at exorbitant rates.
